My Inspiration

I discovered a passion for photography when my husband, Frank, and I had the opportunity to live a dream we shared.

We sold everything we owned and scraped together enough money to buy our dream RV, a Truck to pull it with, and a 1000 Trails membership.

We traveled in our RV, on a shoe string budget, seeking out the beauty of Mother Earth. We had many wonderful adventures. Frank was an explorer, loved to drive back roads, see new sights. He was a navigator, loved his maps.

I was so inspired by what I saw, I tried to capture as much as I could to share with family and friends. The best tool I had to do that with was my camera.

I learned by trial and error how to use my camera. When I decided I wanted to give photography a try, I researched digital cameras, and decided upon the Sony Cybershot. I am so glad I made that choice. It has been a fantastic camera.

So now we are on the road, seeing these beautiful, awe inspiring sights, learning how to live on the road in an RV, and discovering how to use my camera.

When we would go out to explore an area we would pack a picnic lunch and spend the whole day, sometimes well into the night, driving along until we saw a spot we wanted to stop and see, and take photos. The route was always well planned, usually in a circular fashion so we rarely came home the same way.

Frank was so supportive of my photography, always willing to stop anywhere at any time. When we planned the routes it was aways with forethought of what might be the best photographical area. We often made little detours off the main route to beautiful spots he had heard about. The greatest part was that he enjoyed our treks as much as I did.

Our most interesting treks were when we were out looking for wildlife. Lots of sitting and waiting. Many wonderful memories I will cherish forever.

I have 4 photo websites. My websites have grown from my passion for photography.

On a typical day I take 200-300 shots, with maybe 10 shots worth sharing. I have thousands and thousands of files, and share a few hundred images on my websites.

My husband was a big part of my photography. He encouraged me, provided me with new vistas, he was an incredible partner in life.

All of my photos are dedicated to my husband, Frank, who left this world on August 17, 2007. His presence will be dearly missed, but his heart will live on in me.

More than anything Frank was a teacher. He had life down to a science, and liked to share what he had discovered. His advice was practical, down to earth philosophical theroies that worked. Life with Frank was very organized, in every aspect.

Now I must pursue my own dream, and adjust to life without my best friend. I will be moving to Thailand in the near future, where I hope to continue my photography with a new expanded vista that I am anxious to explore.
